Bharti asks Relief authorities to settle migrants issues on priority

JAMMU, June 7 : BJP MLC GL Raina (Ajay Bharti) today visited Relief Commissionerate Office to take stock of the proceedings as well as progress on the issues that were discussed in the previous meeting held last month.
MLC visited different wings of the Relief Office and took up different issues faced by displaced community people on daily basis with the officials.
While speaking to the officials  MLC  said that it should be ensured that all the work with regard to seepage and allied civil works should be completed before Monsoon.
Updation of the Relief Website was also taken up the MLC as the same has not been updated for long. He made the officials aware about it and emphasized on the fact that we are entering into the digital world and it is unfortunate that the website of the department has not been updated since so many years which is not helping in anyway and should be done immediately so that displaced community which is scattered all over the country don’t have to come in person to avail the service of the department like issuance of PRC, Migration Certificate and bifurcation as well.
BJP MLC also took up the matter of Corpus Fund disposal mechanism for the health related issues faced by community members and said that the process should be made simpler so that the patients and their families don’t have to suffer further for the want of funds.  He stressed on the fact that there needs to a document to support that the Jagti hospital has been approved as a 40 bedded hospital as the Health Department has not claimed the same thus a clear clarity is required so that there is no further delay in deciding the nomenclature of the hospital which as of now is bereft of all other facilities.
Bharti  showed over delay in release of ration and bifurcation of ration cards and said that without any delay the supply of ration should be made on time.
All the concerned officials gave assurance that all steps will be taken on priority. Among the other issues which MLC took up included supply of medicine to camp dispensaries copy of the order under which the issuance of RBA to deserving displaced community members was stopped, water supply  scheme of Jagti township which was assured that the work will start soon, PM package employee issues and the latest update on the same was sought.
