JAMMU, June 7: An awareness camp on financial and digital literacy under the campaign celebration of Financial Literacy Week (FLW) by RBI, was organized at village Nagbani in block Bhalwal of Jammu district.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Bikram Singh Raina, DGM-Circle Head, PNB, J&K Circle. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Baleshwar Kharyal, Branch Head, PNB Nagbani, Jammu Branch.
Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counsellor, PNB briefed the gathering regarding digital products of the bank. BHIM app (UPI) and *99# (USSD) was explained in detail to the participants. The benefits of less cash economy were also explained in detail. Baleshwar Kharyal, Branch Head, PNB Miran Sahib, Jammu explained the people in detail about deposits and Advances in general and Education Loan in particular.
The chief guest, Abhilasha Diwakar, LBO RBI, advised the participants to open their accounts in the banks and avail the benefits of schemes launched by the Central Government for the common masses.
