JAMMU, June 14: The Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) has appealed Education Minister and Chairman J&K State Board of School Education to give equal treatment to all schools regarding extension of affiliation during the same session 2016.
While elaborating, Association explained that in 2016, the schools which had been functioning for more than 10 years and  had completed all formalities, were    granted 3 years extension and  those who had not completed all the formalities before the said date, were kept pending. However, in 2017, all the schools kept pending in 2016, were given 5 years extension even though some of them have been functioning even for less than 10 years.
“This means that those schools which had qualified for extension of affiliation in 2016 were granted extension of three years  only and  those which were not qualified then, got 5 years extension later on,” the Association added and demanded to treat the extension of affiliation/ Recognition of three  years  as  five years for  the schools which had been functioning for more than 10 years so that they may not be subjected to injustice.
