POONCH, Oct 25: 39 Rashtriya Rifles (Grenadiers) under the aegis of HQ 6 Sect RR in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Department is organizing District Sports Mela cum Cultural Meet from October 28 to 30 at Sports Stadium.
This was disclosed by Narjeet Singh, incharge, District Youth Services and Sports, during a press conference.
He said that during the meet, various games will be organised including volleyball, kho-kho, tug of war, hockey, stone lifting and talent hunt competition.
The participation the sports event is open to all age categories but will be confined to those players having domicile of Poonch district only, he informed.
He said that all interested block, Club, College, School teams interested in taking part in this event can confirm their entries with organizing committee on or before October 27.
Among others present were Nirdosh Kumar, Manager, Sports Stadium, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Vijay Kumar, Devinderpal Singh, Surinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Sham Lal, Hockey coach, etc.
