JAMMU, June 28: One Day Painting Competition on Environment and Peace, sponsored by Diverse Unified Real Global Action (Durga) , Arizona, USA was organized  by  Jay Kay Women Welfare Society, Jammu at K L Sehgal Hall,  Abhinav Theatre, here.
The programme was organised by the founder members of the organization Durga, Arizona, USA.
Former Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr. Shalini Wahi, Pia Wahi Singh and Bhanu Wahi Singh, Arizona  USA were the Special Guests.
Manjari Singh, Programme Co-ordinator Childline India Foundation and retired CEO Baldev Singh Puri were the Guest of Honour.
The programme was attended by about 80 students from different age groups and schools of Jammu.
The Chief Guest in his address lauded the efforts of the students for their brilliant performances and appreciated the work of Durga and JKWWS for organizing the event smoothly and successfully.
In her address, Dr Shalini Wahi appreciated the effort of all members and also welcomed the art of students in the form of painting on different themes of Save Environment, Save Water and Girl Education.
The prizes and certificates of participation were presented to all the students and first three awards were presented to two categories of students.
The programme was attended by Dr. Tilak Raj Sharma, Executive Director, JKWWS, Narinder Singh, Munish Raja, and Sudhir Mahajan.
In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Tejinder Koushal, Organizing Secretary, JKWWS.
