Kolkata, June 30:
Sourav Ganguly today used the oft- repeated remark ‘cricket is a captain’s game’ before saying “man-management and situation-understanding skills” make good coaches, apart from skills.
Speaking in the wake of the Virat Kohli-Anil Kumble saga, former skipper Ganguly said, “I think cricket is a captain’s game. Coach should be someone who can help and get the team going.”
Now a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), Ganguly, who had an infamous spat with former coach Greg Chappell, added, “An impressive presentation does not make you a good coach. Various things are needed to make a good coach — like man-management skill, situation-understanding skill. (PTI)
