JAMMU, June 30: Khour police arrested an accused, who raped a minor girl in Jourian area yesterday.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a woman yesterday with police station Khour stating that her minor daughter was playing near the house, when a person identified as Sachin Kumar, son of Parkash Chand took her daughter to fields and raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 42/17 under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Khour police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the rapist.
The girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
On specific information, a team from Khour police station conducted raid and arrested the accused from a hideout.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
