MENDHAR, June 30: A young woman was died after she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence at village Nad in Mankote area of district Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as Gulnaz Akhtar, wife of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Nad (Mankote). The woman after some tiff with her husband consumed pesticides kept for maize crop and fell unconscious. She was rushed to Poonch hospital where doctors later referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu but she died on the way near Siot.
Her body was brought to Mendhar Hospital for postmortem and later handed over to the family for last rites. The police registered a case Under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
