JAMMU, July 4: Baspur police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from Baspur police station laid a naka and intercepted a scooter bearing registration number JK02Q-8105.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from the scooter and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Joginder Singh, son of Thoru Ram of Floura Suchetgarh.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for selling among the masses from his general store for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 142/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against him at police station RS Pura and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Baspur police post ASI Yashpal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
