MENDHAR, July 6: Five persons were injured, two of them seriously when a Tata Mobile vehicle landed into a gorge in Harni area on Mendhar-Surankote road today.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place when vehicle No JK-12 / 1934 was on its way to Surankote from Mandhar. At Phambra Nad under Gursai Police jurisdiction, the driver lost control on the vehicle and it landed into a gorge at around 9.30 am.
Five persons including driver were on board the vehicle. They all were injured and shifted to Surankote hospital by police and locals of the area. Two seriously injured Haroon Fareed (8), son of Mohd Fareed, resident of Parat village and Nazakar Hussain (25), son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of the same village, were referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
The other three are admitted to Sub District Hospital, Surankote. They are Saroon Fareed ( 5), son of Mohd Fareed and Mohd Saleem (13), son of Mohd Shakoor from Parat villager in Mendhar and Gulnaz Ahmed (20), son of Mohd Abdul, resident of Naka Majari. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
