Fresh batch of 2246 Amarnath pilgrims leave from Jammu base camp

JAMMU:  A fresh batch of 2246 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.

“Total 2246 pilgrims left this morning in a cavalcade of 75 vehicles,” an official here said.

The pilgrims, including 401 females and 97 Sadhus,  left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in 75 vehicles, including 50 buses and 25 light motor vehicles.

The pilgrimage is smoothly heading on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.  (AGENCIES)
