NEW DELHI, July 7: Ad-monishing China for its persistent transgression into Indian territory in Ladakh, Uttarakhand and North East sector,  activists of  National  Panthers Party (NPP)  staged a massive demonstration near Chinese High Commission here.
Party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh, accompanied by state president of Young Panthers,   was leading the protest demonstration. They were demanding  to that China must vacant the occupied area of  Indian territory  in Ladakh and North East. Accusing China for converting Dokalam sector along LAC in Sikkim into vortex of frequent stand-offs between the two countries, the infuriated protestors raising anti-Chinese slogans took out protest march towards Chinese High Commission from Tara Mandal.
A strong contingent of security personnel were forced to put huge barricades near the Commission where the protesters had heated exchanges with the Delhi Police. Meanwhile, the police arrested the NPP leaders and detained them in Chanakyapuri Police Station.
Castigating China for its recent incursion in Dokalam sector in Sikkim recently on June 16, Harsh Dev Singh divulged that Chinese notoriety assumed alarming proportions when it made an obnoxious attempt to construct road in the tri-junction’ bordering India and Bhutan but was thwarted by the Indian Army. He said that such an action would have changed the status quo at the LAC with serious security implications for India as it could have endangered her access to the North Eastern States. He said that China purposely trespassed the recognized delineated Indian-Sino boundary with malafide intentions which had flared up tension in the region.
“Instead of budging from its mistake, Beijing resorted to muscle flexing amid face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in the area by seeking withdrawal of Indian Army from Sikkim sector as a pre- condition for meaningful dialogue to resolve the situation. It even disallowed the ‘Kailash Mansarovar  Yatra’ through Nathu La Pass in Sikkim”, dismayed Harsh said.
He said that India should refrain from participating in Shanghai Co-operation Organization (SCO) and withdraw its membership until China assured to stop its incursion attempts into the Indian territory. He also said that Govt of India must exert pressure on China to vacate the occupied land of Aksai Chin in Ladakh by taking international community in confidence.
