JAMMU, July 8: Outplaying their rivals convincingly, Shotu Cricket Club and Domana Cricket Club sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing 5th Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at MHAC Nagbani School ground, here.
In the first match played today, Shotu Cricket Club defeated Vijay Cricket Club easily in a low scoring match.
Put into bat, Vijay Cricket Club scored a meagre total of 93 runs in 20 overs. Manjeet was the top scorer with 25 runs, while Atul and Karan contributed 13 runs each. From SCC, Kavith bagged 3 wickets, while Munna and Harpreet claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, SCC chased the target in 17 overs. Harpreet top scored with 26 runs, while Gagan and Panku contributed 17 and 12 runs respectively. For VCC, Manjeet took 2 wickets. Harpreet was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Domana Cricket Club defeated Superstar Cricket Club by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Superstar Cricket Club scored 103 runs in 18.3 overs. Shalinder top scored with 36 runs, while Rakesh and Surinder contributed 21 and 14 runs respectively. FROM dcc, Sunil took 5 wickets, while Lalu, Bawa and Lovely claimed one wicket each.
In reply, DCC chased the target in 20 overs. Vicky scored 25 runs, while Prince and Chicky contributed 16 and 12 runs respectively. For SCC, Sham took 3 wickets, while Lokesh bagged 2 wickets. Sahil was declared as the man of the match.
Sunny and Adarsh Sharma were the umpires, while Deepak Sharma was the scorer.
