KATHUA, July 8: Basholi police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, a team from Basholi police station apprehended an absconder, who was at large for the past over three and half years.
The accused has been identified as Rashpaul Singh, son of Frangu of Machhadi Tehsil Billawar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 57/13 under Section 48-A Excise Act with Basholi police station. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPc also stands issued against the absconder by court of JMIC Basohli on January 4, 2014.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Basholi Inspector Sukhvir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Shivender Singh Jamwal and SSP Kathua Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
