Two injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, July 8: Two persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Vijay Kumar (40) son of Chaman Lal, resident of Dounchak (Khour), was hit and injured by a bike bearing registration number JK02AC-4135, which was being driven rashly and in a negligent manner by Mohd Younis son of Mohd, resident of Mattoo (Khour), at main market of Jourian.
The injured man was shifted to CHC Jourian for treatment. In this connection, Akhnoor police had registered a case FIR No 134/2017 under Sections 279, 337 RPC.
Another mishap occurred at Greater Kailash, where an Alto car hit a scooty and injured its rider namely Balbir Singh (32) son of Jasbir Singh, resident of Sainik Colony. The injured was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
