UDHAMPUR, July 13: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania visited Banja-da-Naal, Chiani, Swalta, Manoh, Kathil and Peoni areas.
He directed the local administration to give a fillip to the developmental tempo in these hitherto neglected areas and ensure that time bound and effective delivery of services administered in these areas.
He informed the local public that road from Manwal to Pingar via Banja-da-Naal and Chiani will be completed at the earliest and wrok to the tune of Rs 3 crores under NABARD is under process and will be completed shortly.
He also kick started work on macadamization-cum-improvement of Manwal to Tazoor road under towns and cities programme. He also announced a community shed and a mast light at Banja-da-Naal and a tractor road connecting Sarmali from his discretionary grants. He also announced electrification of ST Basti Manoh, Ooha, and early start of maintenance work on Majalta to Peoni and Peoni to Tazoor roads. He also announced a separate transformer and a hand-pump at SC Basti Swalta.
He also had a whirlwind tour of the area particularly amongst the riff-raff topographical outreaches with local nallahs in fullest spate, with a view to having first hand overview of the problems and issues of the people particularly after devastating rains and floods. He directed the local administration to open up all clogged roads, irrigation canals and water and electricity supply lines.
He called for immediate electrification especially in hilly and far flung areas. He also directed the Health and Animal Husbandry Department to take care that no epidemic breaks out and necessary medicines and other preventive techniques are available to the people of area.
He also directed local administration to make an inventory of the losses caused in the area due to latest floods.
