It will be a great disappointment for Jammuites if the Government Ayurvedic College does not start functioning at the earliest in this region. Rather the concerned authorities should not have left any stone turned to get this college functional by this time. One wonders why Government has not made arrangements for faculty members when all other formalities were complete. Now, when State Health Minister has given assurance that faculty would be arranged on priority basis, we should believe him, and expect the college would be become fully functional at the earliest.
The Ayurvedic College in Jammu is need of the hour to give a boost to medicare in the region.
Besides, it would create job opportunities for local people. The functioning of the college would also reinforce our faith in our ancient and indigenous system of medicine, a treasure trove which needs to be preserved for posterity.
