One held with Ganja

JAMMU, July 14: A man was held today with Ganja in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a police team of police station Akhnoor while on patrolling in Kashmiri Mohalla (Akhnoor) intercepted a pedestrian who was roaming suspiciously. He said on search of his belongings, police party recovered 1.5 kg Ganja from his possession.
“In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation of the case is going to ascertain the source and destination of the drug”, the spokesman said, adding, during preliminary enquiry, it came to surface that accused person belongs to Bihar state and presently putting up in Kashmiri Mohalla, Akhnoor.
The arrest and recovery was made by Inspector Pushpinder Singh, SHO, police Station Akhnoor, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Munish Anand and SP Rural, Arun Gupta.
