SRINAGAR, July 14: To take stock of the arrangements for scheduled Mission XI Million (MXIM) Seminar cum Workshop, Director Youth Services and Sports, Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad chaired an important meeting in his office chambers here today.
The event is being organized by All India Football Federation in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services & Sports at Indoor Stadium Srinagar on July 18, 2017.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director YS&S (Kashmir) Bashir Ahmed, Deputy Director (Central) Haji Mirza Hussain, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar Muzaffar Ahmed Tramboo, Cultural Officer Department of School Education, G N Shakir, besides office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, Officers and officials of J&K State Sports Council and the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports.
While throwing light on importance and practical usage of the forthcoming event, Shiekh Fayaz Ahmed said that Mission XI Million is the biggest school sport outreach programme.
He said the Mega Outreach Programme organized in partnership with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), is meant to encourage children to play the beautiful game of Football, gain healthy habits and learn important sportsman spirit.
He further said that various activities are being organized across the Country to promote and popularize the three phase programme by organizing workshops, and festivals etc.
The Director said that since the FIFA Under-17 World Cup is being organized in India this year, such workshops will certainly prove helpful in building a better infrastructure for football and will help in building ability in us to organize and execute global sporting events.
The meeting was informed that all the necessary arrangements for the event are in place and different committees have been framed for the smooth conduct of the programme.
