JAMMU, Oct 28: Harsh Mehra claimed first place in Speed Hop Under-14 boys in the Jammu District Rope Skipping Championship, which concluded at Baby Caterers Hall Rehari, here today.
Vasu Sawhney bagged second and Abhirash Sharma claimed third spot in the event.
The tournament in which 160 athletes participated was organized by Jammu District Rope Skipping Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Rope Skipping Association and was held under the supervision of Tarsem Sharma, working president J&K Rope Skipping Association.
Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary, J&K Olympic Association was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Prof BL Koul, Dr Srikant Sharma, Sunny Chandwal and Sandeep Dutta were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in Speed Hop Under-17 boys, Paras Mehra, Krishi Gupta and Abheet Sangotra claimed first three places respectively.
In Speed Hop Under-19 boys, Ankit Sharma bagged first place, Vansh claimed second and Ritik Kumar third, while in Speed Hop Under-11 girls, Arpan Pandita claimed first place, Sudiksha bagged second and Rishika Sharma won third place.
Palak Sawhney bagged first place in Speed Hop Under-14 girls, while Kashish Jamwal and Arpita Razdan bagged second and third spot respectively, while in Speed Hop Under-17 girls, Tanya claimed first position, while Riya Digra and Pragya Razdan clinched second and third place respectively.
Meanwhile, in Speed Sprint Under-14 boys, Pranav Dogra bagged first place, Vasu Sawhney claimed second and Sudhanshu Sharma bagged third place, while in Speed Sprint Under-17 boys, Deepankar Gupta, Prajwal Dutta and Manik claimed first three places respectively.
In Speed Sprint Under-19 boys, Rahul Dogra, Adarsh Gupta and Abheet Sangotra claimed first three place respectively, while in Endurance Under-14 boys, Shagun Bali, Sudanshu and Kapil Gupta claimed the first three places respectively.
In endurance Under-19 boys, Paras Mehra and Akshit Ghai claimed first and second place respectively.
In Free Style event, Sudanshu Sharma, Akshit Dogra and Harsh Vardan bagged the first three places respectively, while in Double Under-19 boys, Ayush Sharma and Rajiv claimed first and second place respectively.
In Relay girls, the team of Reema, Vanshika, Samiksha Kapoor and Divya Anand claimed first place, while Arya Koul, Jeevika Raina, Praguni Goel and Riya Digra claimed second place.
Meanwhile, in Relay boys, the first place went to the team of Vasu Sawhney, Rahul Dogra, Paras Mehra and Krishi Gupta, the second spot was bagged by the team of Pranav Dogra, Chirag Vaid, Vikas Singh and Vishal Gupta, while the third place went to Sudanshu Sharma, Danish Sharma, Abheet Sangotra and Harsh Vardan Raina.
