DODA, July 20: Youth Cricket Club Bhaderwah registered resounding victory over Usman Cricket Club Bhaderwah by 6 wickets and advanced into the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda.
Earlier, batting first, UCC Bhaderwah made 126 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 15 overs. Ashfaq Khan was the top scorer with 27 runs, while Yasir Ahmed scored 20 runs. From YCC Bhaderwah, Rithik scalped 2 wickets, while Yasir Shah, Irfan and Yasir Rather shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, YCC Bhaderwah managed to chase the given target in 13.1 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Mudassir Sheikh was the highest scorer from YCC Bhaderwah team who made 44 runs, while Amir Rather scored 32 runs. From UCC Bhaderwah, Sharoz Sheikh scalped 2 wickets while Yasir Ahmed and Sajid Ahmed shared 1 wicket each. Mudassir Sheikh of Youth Cricket Club Bhaderwah team was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Vijay Partap Singh as umpires, while Milind Gore maintained the scorebook.
