UDHAMPUR, July 24: Three days 48th Regional Sports Meet was inaugurated at KV No-1 Udhampur with pomp and shoe, here today.
Around 300 students drawn from 10 Basketball Under-14 and Under-19 teams and 24 Kabaddi Under-14 and Under-19 teams of various Vidyalayas of Jammu region participated in this mega event.
Lt Col JS Bhadauria 120 Infantry TA Battalion Bihar was the chief guest on the occasion, who was accompanied by NCC Troupe Head, Surinder Kumar, Principal Rajesh Pandey, Vikramaditya and Rajeev Singh.
The Programme began with Flag Hoisting Ceremony by the chief guest, which was followed by the welcome address presented by the Principal and a series of cultural items. The School Captain, Master Ashish Kumar of Class 12th took the Oath, after which the chief guest declared the Meet open.
The stage was coordinated by Sanjay Kumar PGT Hindi and Meenakshi PRT.
Meanwhile, 48th Regional Sports Meet began at KV Sunjuwan with great enthusiasm and fervour. 350 students drawn from 29 schools participated in the event. Judo, Yoga and Table Tennis competitions were held.
