JAMMU, July 27: Former Minister and Senior Congress leader, Tariq Hamid Karra was re-elected president of the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association in an Annual General Body Meeting held at Amar Singh Club, here today.
Rajan Sharma, former Divisional Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council was unanimously elected as the General Secretary in place of Dr Nirmolak Singh, who has enjoyed two terms.
Anil Khajuria was also retained as the Treasurer of the Association for the 2nd term.
Kiran Wattal and Vijay Saraf were unanimously nominated as the patrons of the Association.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma chaired the meeting which was attended by 25 members from all over the State. Kiran Wattal, former Secretary J&K State Sports Council and vice president J&K Olympic Association and Sunil Sharma, Associate Secretary J&K Olympic Association were the observers, while Vijay Saraf and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal acted as the Returning Officers.
The meeting was held smoothly and was addressed by Dr Ashutosh Sharma and Kiran Wattal.
