FCC Ghat seals berth in final; faces Shaheen in summit clash of Gufran T20

DODA, July 28: Friends Cricket Club Ghat sailed into the finals of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 by defeating Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah by 6 wickets in the second semifinal match played at Sports Stadium, here.
Now, FCC Ghat will take on Green Shaheen Cricket Club Doda in the summit clash on July 30, 2017.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 RR Unit Doda, J&K Police, J&K Bank and Green Model Hr Sec School Doda.
Earlier, MCC Bhaderwah won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, MCC Bhaderwah set a low total of 104 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Shafqat Baba was the top scorer with 40 runs, while Zahid Mughal contributed 32 runs to the total. From FCC Ghat, Ankit Tomar and Ankush Nagar shared 3 wickets each.
In reply, FCC Ghat team easily chased the target in 13.1 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Thus, Friends Cricket Club Ghat entered into final of 13th Gufran Tournament 2017. Rahul Redhu scored valuable 33 runs for the team while Akash Antil also contributed 19 runs. From MCC Bhaderwah, Chand Dhahiya took 2 wickets while Abid Pathan claimed 1 wicket. Ankush Nagar of Friends Cricket Club Ghat was declared as the man of the match,who was given prize by ACR Doda Tariq Hussain Naik, DySP Hqr Iftikhar Ahmed, SHO Doda Bishnesh Kunar, Ex Chairman MC Doda Zaffar Ullah Rather, Prosecuting Officer Nadeem Zahid and Sr Journalist Syed Riaz Ahmed.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Munish Zutshi as umpires while Milind Gore acted as the scorer.
