LONDON, July 30: Actor Neil Morrissey admitted that he detested working on TV drama, “Waterloo Road”.
The 55-year-old actor, who played Eddie Lawson in the show that ran for eight long years, said his experience of working on the series was “like forced labour”, reported DigitalSpy.
“I hated that show, I hated it so much. Even my missus said to me, ‘You’ve got to get out of this show because it’s making you into a nasty person’.
“I was tied into it so it was like being forced… It was like forced labour,” Morrissey said on “The Two Shot Podcast”.
The actor said he tried to be professional and wanted top do justice to his character even when he was stuck in a show that had “awful scripts”.
“But at the same time I was compromised by the fact that it was awful scripts and an awful situation,” he said.
“Waterloo Road” aired from 2006 to 2014. (PTI)
