JAMMU, July 30: A meeting of Private Schools Association was held here today for highlighting the various issues regarding the recognition / permission of schools functioning in the Municipal limit of Jammu.
While speaking, members condemned the discriminatory attitude of Municipal Corporation Jammu. While elaborating, they explained that on one hand, most of the private schools functioning in the Municipal limit of Jammu are deprived of NOC by the Municipal Corporation but on the other hand, pick and choose method was being adopted and NOCs are being issued to few schools for 11 months by charging Rs 10500/- by JMC as sanitation fee.
All members expressed serious concern over the Municipal Cooperation attitude in denying NOC to all as Government was not ready to grant recognition / permission to the schools falling in the municipal limit of Jammu without NOC. The meet demanded recognition / permission to all the private schools functioning up to class 8th as per Government order no. 385 Edu of 2016 dt. 05/10/16.
President of the Association Kamal Gupta demanded uniform nomenclature for all the Private schools of Jammu district while issuing NOC from Municipal Cooperation Jammu.
