JAMMU, Aug 2: A dhaba owner was arrested today from Simbal Camp for selling illicit liquor.
“To eradicate the menace of illicit liquor, Surinder Choudhary, SDPO, RS Pura, today conducted a raid in a dhaba at Ward Number 4, Simbal Camp and apprehended Rajinder Singh alias Vicky son of Balwant Singh, resident of Ward No 4, Simbal Camp, who was openly selling J&K Excise liquor pouches (frooties) in his dhaba”, a police spokesman said.
He said that 12 pouches were recovered on spot where as customers, who were standing there to purchase liquor pouches fled on seeing police cops. “In this connection, a case FIR No 106/2017 under Section 48 A Excise Act has been registered in police station Miran Sahib”, he further said, adding, the raid was conducted under the close supervision of SP HQ, Romesh Kotwal.
