JAMMU, Aug 5: Two days training programme of retainer lawyers of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts concluded at ADR Centre, here.
The programme was held under the patronage of Chief Justice Badar Durraz Ahmed, Patron-in-Chief and under the guidance of Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority, Justice Yaqoob Mir.
The training programme was inaugurated by Vinod Chatterji Koul, Chairman, DLSA, Principal, District and Sessions Judge, Jammu. Jyoti Sharma was the master trainer.
Extensive training sessions were conducted by Master Trainer on the topics covering Labour Laws, Right of person with disability, protection of women from Domestic Violence Act, Rights of prisoners and legal services, harassment of women from sexual offences at workplaces and various schemes under ADR.
The participating retainer lawyers were given training on their role and duties for imparting free legal aid.
Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, CJM Jammu supervised the programme which was convened by Swati Gupta, Secretary, DLSA, Sub Registrar Jammu.
