RAJOURI, Aug 7: A theft took place in the shop of a jeweler in Rajouri town here last night.
A police spokesman said that some unknown burglars broke opened the shutter of the shop of Shabnam Jewellers near Julla bridge in the town here last night and decamped with gold ornaments worth lakhs. The owner came to know about the matter in the morning after some body told about the theft.
He reported the matter to City police. The police party led by SHO Rajouri reached there and examined the spot. The police then started investigation. The loss was being assessed but it has been said to be in lakhs. A case has been registered in this connection.
