Soldier injured in Pak ceasefire violation in Uri sector on Aug 7 succumbs

 

SRINAGAR:  A soldier, who was injured during ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) at Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla on August 7, succumbed to his injuries today.

          An Army official said that Havaldar Narendra Singh was critically injured when Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the LoC at Uri sector in north Kashmir on August 7.

          He said Havaldar Singh was immediately taken to Army hospital in Srinagar. However, he said after battling for his life for about 10 days, the soldier succumbed to his injuries today. (AGENCIES)
