JAMMU, Aug 16: A bhandara was organized today in the premises of Shiv Temple, Shiv Market, Railway Station, Jammu by Shiv Mandir Sant Seva Ashram Charitable Trust.
Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, was the chief guest on the occasion while MLC Ashok Khajuria also graced the occasion. President of the Trust, Shiv Partap Gupta along with chief patron, KK Gupta and other trustees including Rajinder Parshad (senior vice president) and Vishwa Mitter Gupta (general secretary) were also present.
The bhandara was opened for all. A large number of people and commuters took ‘parsad’ in the Bhandara and sought blessing of Lord Shiva.
While speaking on the occasion, Shiv Partap Gupta highlighted various welfare activities organized by the Trust for the poor and downtrodden including students, deserving sportsmen and women from time to time. He also exhorted the well off people to come forward and be a part of this initiative taken by the Trust, who also hold bhandara for Amarnath pilgrims during whole Yatra period.
