Hindi Media faces 82 runs drubbing against Sterlite Club

JAMMU, Aug 16: Sterlite Cricket Club defeated Hindi Media by a huge margin of 82 runs in the second T20 match of the 1st Media-XI T20 Triangular Series at M A Stadium, here.
Earlier, Sterlite Cricket Club led by skipper Gourav Gupta won the toss and elected to bat first. Rajat 54 runs off 27 balls helped Sterlite CC to post 154 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Nitin Kotwal 20 runs off 17 balls was the other contributor to the Sterlite CC total.
For Hindi Media, Taqdeer Badal took 3 wickets in his 4 overs, while Sachin, Pankaj and Sunil shared one wicket each in their 4 overs each.
Chasing the target, Hindi Media, led by Ashwani Gupta succumbed to the pressure as their batters failed to compete with the Sterlite bowlers while wickets kept on falling one after another eventually ended up by making 73 runs, thus faced a humiliating 82 runs drubbing.
Sunil (15 runs off 15 balls) remained the highest scorer for Hindi Media while Karan, Amit and Romi contributed 10 runs each.
Nitin Kotwal from Sterlite took 3 wickets while Babloo and Avinash scalped 2 wickets each.
Nitin Kotwal with 3 wickets and 20 runs to his credit was adjudged as man of the match.
The Tri-series is being organized by Media- XI Cricket Club Jammu with an objective to initiate the movement against drugs.
