Alicia Vikander’s ‘Tulip Fever’ to release on September 1

LOS ANGELES:  Oscar winner Alicia Vikander’s upcoming film “Tulip Fever” has got a wide Labour Day release.

            The Weinstein Co long-gestating project, which was scheduled to hit on August 25 in selected cinemas, will now open in theatres nationwide on September 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

            The period drama features Vikander opposite Dane DeHaan and Christoph Waltz and is based on Deborah Moggach’s novel about an artist (DeHaan) who falls in love with a married woman (Vikander) after he’s commissioned by her husband (Waltz) to paint her portrait.

            Justin Chadwick directed the film from an adapted script by Tom Stoppard. (AGENCIES)
