JAMMU, Aug 17: Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, Shashi Prabha Thapa inaugurated the selection trials for picking Under-19 boys Jammu zone team in an impressive and well attended function in school premises, here today.
The trials are being organized by the Department of Youth Servicers and Sports, under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jammu, Saroman Dogra and under the convenership of Roopali Salathia, Lecturer in Physical Education and ace cricket coach.
A good number of cricketers turned up for the trials and showcased their skills to receive the selectors nod.
During the trials Roopali was also accompanied by the officials of the Department including Madan Mohan, Satika Sharma, Jai Singh and Neena Chadha.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Thapa advised the budding cricketers to focus on the game and make sports their career, adding that sports and games serve for delight, for ornament and for agility.
