UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: A 7-year-old boy was drowned in Birma Nallah near the main bridge on Jammu-Udhampur highway this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Virender, son of Vijayender of Jaipur, presently residing in Labour Colony near the Nallah. The boy was taking bath in the Nallah along with some other children of the locality. He slipped into deep water and was drowned at around 5.30 pm. Later, his dead body was fished out with the help of police after long struggle.
