JAMMU, Aug 21: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest at Rehari water pumping station over no improvement in water supply.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple alleged that thousands of litres of water is going waste daily through leakages though people are crying for water. He said wherever some water is being supplied; it is most contaminated and not fit for drinking.
He said that ERA JCB has damaged many old water connections due to which people are not getting water supply and water is flowing on roads and in drains through these leakages.
Dimple said that west assembly constituency is most affected, where water supply system has totally collapsed. Dimple demanded that damaged water connections be immediately repaired by ERA/PHE authorities so that the people may get drinking water.
