DODA Aug 22: 26 Annual Bhallessa Doda historic and mega Dangal was organized by Chenab Valley Wrestling Association in collaboration with Rashtriya Rifles 4 (Indian Army) at Gandoh, here today.
The Championship was held under the overall supervision of Chairman Association Kewel Singh Manhas, Hukam Singh Mangotra,Murtaza Ali Batt, G M Dar, Ch Mohd Yassof, Gh Hussain, Manir Ahmed Sheikh, Mohd Ashraf Kholie and other members of the Dangal Committee.
50 bouts were played in the two days long Vishal Dangal where wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and J&K took part.
SDPO Sunny Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prize. Major 4RR JN Range officer Bhallessa Zuffar ulla Sheikh Union Leader Javid Zargar Nc Leader Inderwal Ch Salam Din Shoket Ali Sheikh Jaha were the guests of Honour.
The first main bout was fought between Wrestler Rehamat Ali (Amritsar) in Punjab and Wrestler Talib from Malarkotla. This bout was won by Rehmat Ali that lasted for 10 minutes. Winner Rehamat Ali was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 30000 by SDPO Sunny Gupta and Majar Jha and other dignitaries, while runner-up Wrestler Talib got Rs. 20000.
