SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President, Prabhari Skill India, Make-up India and Start-up India Yudhvir Sethi along with State Vice President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today said that youth of Kashmir are proving their mettle in all fields including education, sports, business, art, social setup, economic and even politics. This contribution of theirs is not only making fellow citizens proud but also setting examples for next generation to follow and encouraging them to make their presence felt as well. The youth are looking for a big change and that cannot happen without their contribution, they added.
Sethi was addressing a meeting of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders and workers at party headquarters here today. He said Kashmir has produced several icons including cricketers, footballers, IAS, IITans, Scientists, lawyers, journalists and politicians who have proved their mettle in their respective fields.
Despite that the kind of unrest which is prevailing amongst few sections is because of unemployment. This gap was because of the fact that all deserving candidates were ignored and backdoor appointments encouraged during previous regimes. That anarchy has been plugged now and most deserving are sailing through SSRB and PSC exams besides other competitive exams. This transparency has encouraged youth and also establishing credibility of Government in J&K State, Sethi stated.
Yudhvir Sethi said that self employment has no match and I see many young entrepreneurs setting up their businesses in Kashmir despite all odds. “Entire nation right from Kashmir to Kanyakumari belongs to you. It is you who have to rise to the occasion, help build peace and make J&K progress at par with any other State in India”, he stated.
Several icons in academics as well as sports in Kashmir have encouraged youth to take to academics and sports in a big way. Several scholarships have also been announced by the Government for youth to grab. Ample opportunities are awaiting them in J&K and entire country. Girls are doing exceptionally well. Secretariat is having women IAS, KAS officers and they are all making all of us proud as well, he added.
State Secretary BJYM Bilal Parray asserted youth of BJYM to strengthen organisation at all levels and carry BJP’s programmes and policies amongst masses.
Among others present were District President Srinagar BJYM Raja Showkat, Vice President Ganderbal BJYM Javid Ahmad, General Secretary Ganderbal BJYM Ishfaq Ahmad, General Secretary Srinagar Muneeb and Executive Member Aijaz Ahmad Shiekh.
