JAMMU, Aug 25: Crescent Public School celebrated Sports week with a great mirth, enthusiasm and camaraderie, here.
Earlier, the Principal of the School, Bhavna Kushal inaugurated the Sports Week in an impressive and well attended function.
The school flag was unfurled by the Principal and House flags were displayed by the Sports Captains and Vice-Captain, Head Boy and Head Girl.
The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event was the splendid field displays, involving mass student participation in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Rugby, Martial Arts, Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis etc.
On the concluding day, final matches of Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess were played. Asanas and formations of Yoga were the main attractions.
The meet was declared closed by the Principal followed by the retreating of school flag with honour. School song was sung by the school council. On this occasion coordinator, Kiran Zutshi in her speech made them aware about the importance and values of games and sports.
The Principal also congratulated the entire teams as well. She motivated and inspired students to take part in sports and games.
