Stolen two-wheelers recovered, 2 minor accused held

UDHAMPUR, Aug 26:  Udhampur Police has worked out two theft cases under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal and arrested two thieves, both minors, besides affecting recovery of three two-wheelers, including one Scooty, one Scooter, one motorcycle and some cash.
Acting on frequent theft/burglary cases in Rehmabal, Palthyar, Gari, Chopra Shop etc, a special Police team was constituted and raids were conducted in different suspected locations based on the human and technical intelligence collected by the police team.
During raids, some suspects were zeroed in by police and during the questioning of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed commission of the offence in connivance with other associate burglar who was also arrested subsequently. With the arrest of these two burglars, Police party of P/S Rehambal succeeded in busting a gang of burglars,  which was  active in the area for the last few months. On the disclosure of these accused burglars, police recovered 03 stolen two-wheelers and some cash.
In this connection, a case FIR Nos. 132/2017 U/S 379 RPC and 134/2017 has been  registered at Police Station Rehmbal and further investigation of the case was  going on. Police is also working on the involvement of these suspects in some other theft / burglary cases under  other police stations of Udhampur.
