In August 2013, police had arrested Yasin Bhatkal along with Akhtar from the India-Nepal border. Yasin Bhatkal headed the list of Delhi Police’s 15 most wanted terrorists involved in bombings across India. Riyaz Bhatkal and Iqbal Bhatkal are on the run.
The court, after hearing the matter, had discharged accused Syed Ismail Afaaque, Abdus Saboor and Riyaz Ahmad Sayeedi in the 2010 Jama Masjid blast due to deficiency of evidence. (AGENCIES)
