SRINAGAR, Aug 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today said that programmes and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre are aimed at reaching each and every person in the country for which party workers besides Government functionaries have to make people aware of their rights and privileges.
Sethi who along with BJP leader Mohammed Anwar Khan was addressing party workers in a meeting held on the outskirts of Baramulla, said ‘Nave Bharat Ka Manthan – Sankalp Se Siddhi’ is one such programme wherein awareness is being spread among the common rural masses about building a New India.
He said making people aware about programmes and policies is to bring together people from all age groups willing to engage in intellectually stimulating discussions on how India should be in 2022. This particular programme Sankalp Se Sidhi is also aimed to spreading awareness on various centrally sponsored schemes like Fasal Bima Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Startup India etc.
The BJP vice president said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intends to see Kashmir prospering and contributing in development besides adding to the economy for which people have to be involved in taking decisions. It’s the party workers besides ASHA, Anganwadi workers, students and the general public which can act as ambassadors in spreading information in their localities so that people are benefitted by these schemes. He urged party workers to strengthen local units and create a network wherein one could know about State as well as Central schemes.
The local unit of Baramulla after the meeting apprised visiting BJP leader about issues confronting them. They said that transport system in the area is unorganised and need special attention for the conveniences of commuters. They also sought better connectivity so that fruits and vegetables could be transported to local Mandis and urged Sethi to take up issues of upgradation of local schools and health care facilities with Government.
