JAMMU, Aug 29: 3rd 11 Sports Inter School Table Tennis Championship 2017 was inaugurated at New Delhi by HRD Minister, Prakash Javalekar.
The Championship was hosted all over India simultaneously to mark the National Sports Day. The opening ceremony was telecast all over India live via JIO network.
The same was also done in Jammu at Table Tennis Hall.
Nearly 170 students from various schools of Jammu province are participating in the Championship. The events to be played in the championship include Junior boys and girls (Up to 7th class) and Senior boys and girls (8th,9thand 10th class)
In Junior category matches played today, Jodhamal School beat DPS 3-0; KV No 1 Gandhi Nagar defeated APS Domana 3-0 and KC International lost to its rival by (3-0), while in Senior category, KC International School drubbed APS Domana 3-1; KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar got the better of National Academy Udhampur 3-1 and Heritage School lost to its rival by 3-1.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Khadotra, Shorya Sharma, Meenu and Aditya
