MENDHAR, Nov 3: ‘Run for Fun’ for the School children was organised by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), here today.
School children of Mendhar, Harni, Mankot, Jugal, Sakhi Peer Maidan and Jogia Mohalla participated in the event which was flagged off by the chief guest Walidad Choudhary, District President, NC Mendhar, from Helipad Ground, Mendhar.
The participants were felicitated by the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking laid emphasis on the importance of games and sports in the overall development of the children.
The civilians applauded the effort of the Army is organizing such activities which would generate goodwill amongst the masses.
