JAMMU, Sept 1: Investiture ceremony for the academic session 2017-18 was organized at MV International School with great zeal and enthusiasm today.
ID Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides, J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sohail Kazmi, Chief Advisor Bharat Scouts & Guides, J&K was the special guest and MM Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides J&K, Shampal Singh Slathia, Incharge Bharat Scouts & Guides District Samba, Hira Lal Abrol Chairman, Gourav Abrol, Director and parents of Council Members witnessed the proceedings of event.
30 members of the council took oath with the School Principal K L Dogra. They pledged their commitment to uphold the School ethos to highest order. Badges, Sashes and Flags were presented to all the office bearers during the Ceremony.
Mr Soni in his address appealed to the students, teachers and the parents to stay committed in their actions for the upliftment of moral standards of the society.
Mr Kazmi also spoke on the occasion.
The Students Council is led by Rohan Singh (12th A) and Randeep Kour (12th B) as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively.
The members of the Council included Ayush Mankotia (12th A) and Sonia Sharma (12th A)- Sports Captain; Archit Chowdhary (12th A) and Neha Sharma (12th A)- Cultural Captain; Pravjot Singh (11th A)- Vice Head Boy; Samriti Bhagat (11th B)- Vice Head Girl; Bhupinder Singh (11A) and Gurpreet Kour (11th C)- Vice Sports Captain; Pawandeep Singh (11A) and Ravinder Kour (11th B) – Vice Culture Captain; Ankita Choudhary (11th D), Pratham Thapa (10th B) and Areen Vaid (5th B) – Discipline Incharges; Pankaj Choudhary (11th A), Udhayveer Singh Slathia (10B) & Aadhya Sharma (5th A)- Eco Leaders; House Captains are Abhishek Sharma (11th B), Aatish Slathia (10th B) and Bhanu Pratap (5th A) – The Maestros House; Riya Mangotra (11th A), Geetanjali Verma (10th B) and Himanshi (5th B) – The Victors House; Mansi Jamwal (11th B), Kanika Digra (10th B) and Geetika Choudhary (5th C)-The Invincible House; Rakshit Randhawa (11th C), Sangeeta Rana (10th B) and Bhuvan Vaid (5C)-The Supremes House.
The glittering ceremony was marked by performances by the students.
In the end, Gourav Abrol Director, MVIS presented the vote of thanks.
