Zone Billawar outplays Kathua to win U-19 Boys Cricket Tourney

KATHUA, Sept 1: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua organized Inter Zone District Level Cricket tournament for Under–19 boys at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Four teams of district participated in the tournament namely Clubbed Zone Hiranagar, Clubbed Zone Kathua, Clubbed Zone Basohli and Clubbed Zone Billawar.
The opening match was played between Hiranagar and Billawar in which Hiranagar opted to bat and made 107 runs in 14.4 overs.
In reply, Billawar achieved the target at 14.1 overs by losing 8 wickets. Vinay Thakur of Billawar zone top scored with 48 runs, including 9 boundaries.
In final match, Billawar Zone defeated Kathua zone by 12 runs. Bating first, Billawar scored 64 runs in 10 overs.
While chasing the target, Kathua bundled out for 52 in 7overs as Sharan of Billawar claimed 3 wickets in 2 overs.
