Educational institutions should be free from Politics: Sunil Sharma

KISHTWAR, Sept 7: Adarsh Balniketan School Kishtwar celebrated its 57th annual day with pomp and show, here today.
Minister of State for R&B, Revenue, Transport and Sports, Sunil Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The function started with traditional lighting of lamp followed by presentation of the annual school report, Ganesh Vandana and cultural programme.
Appreciating the role of the institution in promoting education since the past 56 years, Minister said that school has the history of producing brilliant students who have excelled in different fields.
He underscored the need for providing a congenial atmosphere to students and asked the managing committee of experts for up-gradation of the school infrastructure.
The Minister said that education of girls is a vital tool for overall growth and development besides empowerment of the entire family. He appealed the people to ensure that all girls in their areas get proper education.
On the occasion Minister stressed upon free from Politics campaign in the educational institutions and said religion or region based education is harmful for the society.
The function concluded with presentation of awards to the best teachers and the members of Managing committee.
Prominent among others who graced the occasion were DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir and DYSSO Deewan Chand.
