JAMMU, Sept 10: Samba Club and Cantt Cricket Club Satwari registered convincing wins against their rivals and entered in the next stage of ongoing State Cricket Academy (SCA) T20 Championship, being played at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match Samba Club defeated Krishna Club by 12 runs .
Batting first, Samba Club scored 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 16 overs , with Shubam (34) ,Sunil (33) and Arun (18) being the main scorers.
From Krishna Club Chander took 3 wickets, Deepak took 2 wickets, while Binny, Arush and Sunny shared 1 wicket.
Krishna Club, in reply could not achieve the target and made 109 runs in the stipulated 16 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, thus lost the match by 12 runs. Chandan 37 , Sunil 28 and Rohit 19 were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Sunil took 4 wickets, Rohit, Sandeep and Neeraj took 1 wicket each. Sunil was adjudged man of the match with cash prize of Rs 500.
In second match, Cantt Satwari Club got the better of Bhalwal CC by 2 runs.
Batting first, Cantt Satwari scored 160 runs for the loss of 7 wicket in 20 overs , with Niranjan(51), Dheeraj(39) and Raj Kumar (24) being the main scorers.
From Bhalwal Club, Dinesh and Devansh took 2 wickets each, Devasher,Sunil and sandeep took 1 wicket each .
In reply, Bhalwal Club fell short of just 2 runs. Sandeep top scored with 53 runs, while Devansh made 52 runs.
From Cantt Club, Parshotam took 3 wickets, while Sanchit took 2 wickets and Dheeraj and Rajkumar claimed 1 wicket each. Niranjan of Satwari Cantt was declared as man of the match.
