POONCH, Sept 10: Poonch Royal club won the T20 trophy in the ongoing Police Sports Festival 2017 which is being organized under Civic Action Programme of JKP.
DySP Shaheed Nayeem was the chief guest in today’s events.
Prominent others present included Tariq Khan and Officials from Sports Council and District youth n sports department Poonch.
Poonch Royal won the cricket tournament by defeating Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial Club in the final.
After winning the toss, Poonch Royal Club scored 139 in allotted overs, while in reply, Manjit Singh club failed to achieve the target.
Poonch Royal won the match by 19 runs.
Meanwhile, in Kabaddi, Police Line Mohalla Club entered into the semifinal.
In the first match, Banpat defeated Ajote by 32:28, Kalai outplayed Malik Club by 35:17, Police Line defeated Gujjar Hostel by 28:17, Police Line outplayed Bhataduria by 25:21.
In Tug of War, Police Line got the better of Gujjar Hostel to enter into the semifinal.
