Vijay Club blanks Engineers Club, qualifies for Super League

JAMMU, Nov 4: Vijay Club thrashed Engineers Club by eight goals to nil (8-0) to qualify for the Super League Stage of the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
Tanpreet Singh gave Vijay Club an early lead by pelting a goal via penalty kick in 14th minute, which was followed by a superb goal netted by Vinay in 36th minute. Then it was Vishal Dogra all the way, who scored the first hat-trick of the tournament pelting 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th goal in a style to give his side (6-0) lead before Tanpreet Singh scored another 2 goals in 71st and 81st minutes of the match to help his team win by eight goals to nil (8-0).
In another match, Young Rovers defeated NGR by a solitary goal to stay alive in the tournament. Vishal Angral was the goal scorer who pelted it in 20th minute. Sourav Jangral was shown red card for repeated foul play.
The matches were officiated by Moon Stephen, Kaushal Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Harmanjeet Singh and Ramesh Chander.
